Now what’s this you might have heard about winter rains, sun rain or storms, now what’s an acid rain, well I can assure you it’s the one rain that you would never want to be outside splashing around, because it literally pours acid from the clouds at such times. Pollutants in the atmosphere have almost affected everything that lives on the face of the planet and now they are altering nature too. Acid rains are mainly caused by some really noxious chemicals like sulphur, phosphorous, chlorine and carbon getting deposited in the clouds that carry the vaporized water molecules by means of smoke.
Natural rain is normally acidic but a very weak acid which is beneficial to us, but due to the contamination of such chemicals the rain water turns much acidic and pours down as acid rain. Acid rain can have adverse effects depending upon their level of acid content, almost all acid rain affect crop growth, and can even cause crop failure and soil contamination, much stronger acidic rain cause corrosion of unprotected iron an steel structures like bridges, cars, ships etc, and also they cause serious illness to health and affects lungs, and skin. The pollutants are mainly caused by the emissions from factories, mines, industries, vehicle emission etc.
Though many measures have been taken to control such emission, to meet the demands of the nation factories and mines are forced to produce more and in result they contaminate the atmosphere more. If you use a yellow bulb for a whole day you alone contribute to 2 kg of pollutants being deposited in the atmosphere imagine about all other appliances being used and how many are using it, so its really up to our hands to reduce the emissions and save our planet for the benefit of our own selves and all others.

This may seem a bit strange but there are actually many renewable fuel resources gifted to us. And all of them are derived from plants and are quite cheap to produce. These fuels can even be prepared at your home they are, that simple. But that doesn’t allow us in anyway to recklessly drive around and waste the fossil fuels. Because there are other complications when using these fuels. Mainly they don’t give enough power as that of fossil fuels, they can be extracted only from particular type of plants like sugarcane, switchgrass, sunflower, canola, potatoes, etc. and don’t yield much as well. Also the crops can be grown only in selected areas and there aren’t many such areas and not enough of arable land either to supply our monstrous need.
But anyway its still a good news cause ‘something is better than nothing’. Don’t get dejected so soon, there are many advantages too for example you can get more mileage with these fuels than the fossil fuels, they emit almost no NOX emissions, they are of course renewable, fuels like bio diesels can even be prepared in your home using waste oils from frying French fries. So the next when you eat French fries you can at least be happy about something. And most of all these fuels can used as additives due to their excellent mixing properties with there fuel. But as the general thought of philosophy goes nothing in the world is permanent and are subjected to an end’ maybe all our efforts of finding new fuels might come to end too. So its always better to conserve what you have now. It’s the best way to survive. Many have started using additives of these bio fuels in their cars, a little reduction in power does no harm at least not more than running on nothing. So till the people find engines that run in water it is better to use such alternatives and try to be more eco friendly.
