Solid Money

Posted by admin on Feb 5, 2012 in Economy

Well of course all money is solid but I am talking about a chemical solid that’s actually the true money the whole world has been using for years, yes! It’s none other than the yellow piece of metal we call ‘gold’. Suitably named as precious metal it is truly precious, maybe even from the beginning of time it has been the most valued substance used by all civilizations. Women pampered it and men fought over it, a country’s wealth was only determined by it, even gods were decorated and sculpted out of gold. Gold wasn’t always treated with monetary value but it was treasured never the less, thousands or maybe even all wars took place only out of the greed to possess it, only those of the highest stature in a society was awarded with it, no wonder it’s our modern currency.

All the green notes that we hold in our hand is just an equivalent for gold, and only reason we have more of it is because we have more gold reserves than other countries. Not only is it important for the economy but it also serves many other purposes too, it has used to make jewelry right f it was from the day found, it is known to have medical properties for a long time and is used in treating cancer, it is used for decorating food and drinks, even used for defense purposes for its long lasting properties. It is also an very essential element for carrying out many chemical reactions. The most wonderful fact about gold is that its value always keeps increasing, if your great grandfather bought some gold for a few cents its value today will exceed thousands of dollars. So global recession or not having gold locked up in your bank is always like having solid money literally.
